The serpentine auxiliary belt, which is located in a very narrow and limited access part of the engine bay, requires a specialist tool in order to remove it. Its location makes it very difficult to change without stripping off major engine components first.

There are tools available to purchase online to resolve this issue, however, these can be quite complicated to use (which will complicate the task more than it needs to be) and are not without the hefty price. Also, keep in mind that the belt should be changed every 60,000 miles (or sooner if showing signs of age and cracking), so simplifying the process should be given priority.

Using our tool is a cost-effective alternative and can be used to easily release & replace the auxiliary belt, without the need to remove any other major parts. This kit also comes with a tensioner pin retaining tool which is simply a long screwdriver that has been specifically sized and angled to the correct shape, and which is used to easily retain the tensioner pin.
