The intake manifold valve/position sensor is tasked with providing values to the vehicle's Powertrain Control Module (PCM) which then helps it to control the amount of air being allowed into the fuel injected engines at various RPMs. The Intake Manifold Runner Control (IMRC) then uses this data to determine the position of the throttle body plates (AKA flapper valves) and adjusts them to adapt to engine load variations. This would then ensure a correct mixture of fuel and air by limiting the amount of air that can pass through the engine. However, there are 2 plastic limiting stops on the large cog within the motor which are quite delicate and will inevitably wear. This then causes the motor to over rotate. When the actuator motor on the intake manifold doesn't function properly and over rotates, it triggers error codes in which the Engine Control Module (ECM) then detects and causes the 'Check Engine' light to switch on. These fault codes are P2015 which means that there is out of range data from the senor, and/or P2020 which means the fault code associated with Bank 2 for the same issue).

To have these issues resolved by the main dealers would cost you dearly as they would completely replace the intake manifold(s) with a brand new one. What's more, to install the new intake manifolds would require the removal of the fuel lines as well.

However, this may be unnecessary as in most case the issue lies with the actuator motor on the intake manifold(s). By installing our repair brackets, it provides a much cheaper alternative and a solid limit for the actuator motors, clearing all error codes on it's own. They stop the over rotation by attaching to the manifold actuator motors themselves and restoring the motors' limits to the same range as they were when brand new.

Constructed from stainless steel, our brackets are very easy to install (takes approx. 15 minutes), and can be fitted using basic tools. No software is required.

The 2 manifolds work together simultaneously, therefore, it is recommended that both brackets are installed at the same time as to ensure they have the same limit.
